One was filed in Houston last week in the death of a woman who was killed when her Toyota reached excessive speeds, and crashed into a wall. If Toyota thought finding a solution to the unintended acceleration was a challenge, it’s going to find that dealing with the onslaught of lawsuits that are going to begin pouring in, will be a nightmare. The company also faces a credibility test in the form of its former lawyers, who insist that the company was aware of these problems, but chose to conceal them behind a web of silence.
