Houston police are still looking out for a truck driver who absconded from the scene of an accident after loose cargo from his tractor-trailer crashed through the windshield of a truck behind him, injuring the driver.
The Houston Police Department has issued a call for help from the public after the accident, which occurred on the 23rd of December on the I-10 E Freeway. The crash occurred when the 18-wheeler west bound on the freeway, lost a 1-inch long steel pipe. The pipe fell off the truck, bounced off the pavement and crashed through the windshield of a truck that was following behind. The driver of the second truck suffered serious injuries, including a broken arm. In spite of his injuries, he tried to follow the first truck, but soon gave up. Houston police is asking anyone with any information or witnesses to the accident to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline.
The second truck driver was actually fortunate that the only injuries here were a broken arm. A heavy steel pipe crashing through your windshield could have resulted in much more serious injuries.
