Vujasinovic and Beckcom Obtain TRO in Houston Gas Plant Explosion

Our Houston-based personal injury law firm obtained a Temporary Restraining Order last week that prohibits Enterprise Products from tampering or getting rid of crucial evidence providing clues to the deadly gas plant explosion. A Harris County District Judge has scheduled a hearing on this Temporary Restraining Order on February 18, 2011 at the Harris County district courthouse. During this hearing, the court will decide whether the Temporary Restraining Order will be converted into a Temporary injunction.

The TRO expressly prohibits Enterprise Products from damaging, modifying, selling or disposing of any of the components or parts of the facility that were involved in the Mont Belvieu gas plant explosion.

It was very important that we get this Temporary Restraining Order as quickly as possible. We have been hired by some of the workers who were inside the gas plant at the time of explosion. In order to proceed with the investigation, it is very necessary that we make sure that Enterprise Products does not tamper or get rid of evidence that could be crucial to the investigation. During previous lawsuits that we have filed against other companies in similar industrial explosions and disasters, we have found that companies will waste no time in concealing evidence that is critical to the case. The Temporary Restraining Order places us in a better position to help protect our clients’ interests.
