Child Injured in Houston Carnival Ride Accident

A 3-year-old child suffered injuries last week when she was thrown from a ride at a Carnival in Houston. The incident has already sparked action by rodeo officials.
The accident occurred at the RodeoHouston carnival when the child was on the Techno Jump Ride, along with her 8-year-old brother. According to witnesses, the mother was initially on the ride with the 2 children, and then decided to get off the ride. Both the 8-year-old and the victim apparently met the height and weight restrictions.

Man Dies in Houston Carnival Roller Coaster Accident

A 46-year-old man has been confirmed dead after he fell off a roller coaster at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo event over the weekend. The man was apparently writing the “Hi Miler” ride on Sunday at about 9 PM, when he fell off the ride. The man fell approximately 28 feet. He was rushed to the Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was declared dead.
The man was seated in the first car. He apparently fell on another person, who suffered a broken ankle. The other man was also taken to the hospital for treatment.
