Little Tikes Toolsets Recalled due To Choking Risks

Little Tikes and the Consumer Product Safety Commission have announced a recall of toolsets due to choking risks. The choking risks are related to oversized plastic nails that come with the Little Tikes toolsets.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission is aware of at least two incidents in which children choked on the plastic nails. In both cases however, caregivers were able to get to the children in time to prevent a tragedy. The children were treated for their injuries, and have recovered completely.

Lawmakers Try to Eliminate Funding for Consumer Product Safety Website

Just a few months after the launch of Saferproducts.gov, the consumer product safety website that has been widely supported by Houston product liability attorneys, lawmakers are already trying to derail the project. A new spending bill will substantially reduce funding for the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The bill contains a clause that would completely cut funding for the database.

Most of these lawsuits have centered on the allegation that Accutane causes inflammatory bowel disease. The latest Accutane-related lawsuit that Roche will come up against however, will have a Hollywood tinge. Recall of One Million Baby Slings Because of Infant Suffocation Risks

The Consumer Product Safety Commission and baby sling maker Infantino have announced a recall of up to 1 million baby slings after the deaths of three infants due to suffocation.
The recall had been in the works for a few days now. Last week, the CPSC warned parents and caregivers that baby slings posed an unusually high risk of suffocation deaths to infants.
