The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited a drilling company in an accident that caused the deaths of two workers at the site. The incident occurred on June 11 at the Robinson Drilling facility.

As part of its continued efforts to prevent workplace injuries and fatalities in Texas, the Occupational Safety and Administration has conducted inspections of a company in San Antonio, and has issued several citations.

A man from College Station was killed in an accident on an oil-rig last week. The man had apparently been dismantling the rig, when he was suddenly struck by heavy equipment.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has opened an investigation into the death of a plant worker in Mount Pleasant. The man died in a truck accident at the Pilgrim's Pride facility.
The man was apparently run over by a truck, which was backing out and trapped him. He sustained serious injuries, and died at the hospital. The victim was twenty-five years old. A thirty-two-year-old construction worker has been confirmed dead in an accident on a site in San Marcos, Texas.
The accident occurred last Wednesday, at the site of a plant that manufactures refinery equipment. A metal building frame collapsed, and the victim sustained fatal injuries. Under the Occupational Safety and Health of Administration’s Voluntary Protection Program, workplaces that the agency decides are “model workplaces” are not put through regular inspections. The logic is that these workplaces have done a good job of providing a safe environment for their workers. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has begun an investigation into a fatal workplace accident on a rig in Howard County earlier this month. The accident had left two people dead.
